I travel the US a lot and am always searching for a good British Pub (not always easy to find a GOOD one). Red Lion delivered. Probably the best I’ve found for some authentic British food- yes they have good food. Nice beer selection too. I had a few pints of Old Speckled Hen Fine Ale. Superb! And the Pasty? Equally delectable! GM recommended anything with their gravy and he did not steer me wrong. 10/10 would highly recommend!

This is one helluva restaurant! It is soooo calm, cool, collected and chill. The VIBE is absolutely amazing. My friend invited me to join him on a Friday evening, and I’m so glad he did. The greeter was welcoming, and our waitress, SWEET STELLA, was awesome! She made the evening outstanding. We had the best cocktails, old fashion and an Irish whiskey. The food was delicious. We had the fish n’ chip, cheese curds, jalapeno poppers and turtle cheesecake. This is one of best restaurants on the east side. I will be back . . .

We stopped for breakfast on our way out of town. Food was great, company even better! Fun place to hang out, everyone was so nice!

We had a surprise 40th birthday party in the upper bar and patio. Sandy the Director of Events was fantastic to work with. She responded quickly and was very accommodating. Everything was setup perfectly for the event. The food was a hit and the atmosphere on the patio was great. Would highly recommend for any party.

This is a real-deal British pub, from the outside to the inside. The English-pub vibe is dripping from the walls and ceiling! Gotta love that huge Union Jack covering the entire ceiling. We arrived mid-afternoon, so it was not busy. Our service was quick and the food arrived promptly. I liked that the menu leaned heavily towards English pub food items. The cheese curds had a light crunchy coating. My wife described her ‘fish n’ chips’ order as the best she has ever eaten. The breading was light, flaky, crunchy. Not over-seasoned and oily. There was plenty on the plate for 2. I really enjoyed my Shepards pie. It was prepared just the way it should: loaded with meat, both ground and chunks of lamb. You could taste the red wine reduction soaked into the meat. All covered with smooth cheesy mashed potatoes. It was all washed down with a tall glass of Guinness. Cool pub. Really good food. I’d love to see it at happy hour or St Patrick’s Day. We will definitely go back.

New to Milwaukee since last summer. Red Lion is my favorite comfort bar. I bring my family and friends here every time they visit. Amazing drinks. Amazing Scottish eggs. Great manager George

I was in Milwaukee a few weeks back with some friends. While we were there, we caught a late lunch at the Red Lion Pub. The Red Lion Pub is a multi story British Pub, sports bar, and eatery. I noticed that they even have seating in the outdoor patio on the roof, but this was closed at the time due to chilly weather. For lunch I had an entree of Bangers and Mash with a side of Scotch Eggs, and a couple beers. My friends had an order of Fish and Chips, Cheese curds, and Scotch Eggs. The Bangers and Mash was just splendid, some of the best I have had in recent memory. Oh and in case you are wondering, Bangers are sausage links and Mash is quite simply mashed potatoes. The entire dish consists of Two massive sausage links on top of mashed potatoes and smothered in onion gravy. The sausage links were delightful! Browned on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The potatoes were so smooth and mashed to perfection, with no lumps. The onion gravy was thick, creamy, and contained large slivers of carrot. The whole dish coalesced wonderfully and I enjoyed every bite. As for the Scotch Eggs, these also impressed me. A Scotch Egg is an egg that is hard boiled, wrapped in sausage, covered in bread crumbs, and then deep fried. These particular Scotch Eggs also came garnished with some cilantro aioli sauce. Quite obviously the egg and sausage went great together and the whole thing was made even better by being deep fried. I loved them and I am tempted to try and make these at home sometime. While I was eating I washed everything down with two beers. The first beer I had on tap was a Bumble Bear Brown Ale from Lakefront Brewery. This beer came dark brown with a nice frothy head. The beer was very smooth and had a nice malty flavor with a touch of bitter. Definitely a good beer, especially on tap. I then followed this up with the classic and always great glass of Guinness beer. What can I say really, it's Guinness and it is great! In reference too the fish and chips and cheese curds, I did not personally try any of these dishes. There fore I can not speak to their flavor. However I can say that they looked and smelled so good! The fish that came with the fish and chips was huge and it appeared to pull apart wonderfully. The cheese curds also looked really good as well. Over all I enjoyed this British Pub and I was impressed with the quality of food I received. I will definitely be going back here in the future if I happen to be in the area!

We couldn't be more grateful for the amazing experience and service we received from Red Lion and, in particular, Sandy! From start to finish, the communication was great, and Sandy went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and stress free for our big day. She worked within our budget to get us the best deals without sacrificing quality. Her hospitality was incredible! The food was amazing- our guests are still raving about it! I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars because the experience was just that exceptional. I highly, highly recommend Red Lion!
